I noticed a lot of notaries in my state (Maryland) offering Apostille services. Is there a training I have to get or are the notaries just a conduit for customers and then the notary takes the document to the appropriate office kind of like a middle man?
My understanding is you don’t need training. You need to take the document to the appropriate office at the state capitol or send it to a notary in the capitol city who will do that. Contact your Secretary of State and they should be able to tell you…
