Greetings Fellow Notaries!
I was a Notary in New Jersey, and in California in previous years, and was a Loan Signing Agent in California for a few years. I am now in Chicago, and have been a Notary for over four years. I’ve recently departed Corporate America in pursuit of a full-time career as an NSA. I’m certified, background screened and home office ready. I’ve signed up with USA Signing Agent ($35) and with Bancserv. In reading reviews, I’m now skeptical about both. When I was a Signing Agent in California, I had about three or more different streams of work, from title/escrow companies and services similar to USA Signing Agent, and I had plenty of business, but this was over 10 years ago. These days, particularly in Illinois, the work is either scarce, or no one wants to work with newer signing agents. Can anyone provide other reputable companies or agencies that I could sign up with? Or, perhaps suggestions on how to get work?
