SNAPDOCS ! DO's & DONT's

EACH and Every One of you? Please start Evangelizing the pits and perils of low fees and encourage them to start being more confident.. HOW ? Tell them how to stand up and say NO to low fees. Show them your good earnings. I have now been sharing my good earnings.
Of course I am not gonna give my clients away, So they gotta also know that.

Yes, Sent to your state attorney general and county district attorney and perhaps also to FBI, as interstate fraud might be involved. Hence FBI !

I read another post that said new notaries shouldn’t expect to be paid more than seasoned notaries. (Posted by a seasoned notary). The assignment she referred to was a $40 signing. Any way you slice it, you’ll probably be LOSING money on that one! Even if you’re new, you still need to make a profit. It’s kind of dumb to work for free.

Think you misread the statement. It’s not a closing doc. Debt settlements are morally wrong and as a sworn notary public[quote=“NotaryNow, post:7, topic:2628, full:true”]
There are ZERO orders that post for $100+ on SD’s here in Vegas.
If I were to contest a SD and demand higher…then I would get zero SD’s orders period.

Ummmmm you never represent anyone in any transaction.
Not sure what you mean. It’s none of our opinion as notaries to look at, judge, or have concern over interest rates.

Maybe you are getting emotionally involved with your orders? Go, do the order, drop and you are done.

Concern for the signers for XYZ can keep you up all night, I could not imagine doing such and it’s boarder line illegal to even speak about it.

Take care and I wish you only the best!

You wrote this last year - maybe things changed? I’m happy Vegas is now offering more higher paying jobs to Notaries.

From what I’ve told my husband – he is pretty sure this is illegal. He has been an attorney in this particular field for the past 30 years. I accepted one, without knowing what it was. I was floored when I read the documents… How could this be legal? I took it to my husband. He almost reported them… I told him not to. He told me it was good that I backed out, as I could have been representing a crooked company – and it could’ve had consequences for me later on.
DEBT Settlements are Horrible – Any lawyer would tell you that.

WHY NOT REPORT ?? SEE SOMETHING , SAY SOMETHING

Report it to your State AG. Sponsor a law with the local state assembly member / state senator to prohibit non profit and especially OUT OF STATE non profits from offering debt related services.

Contribute something to society to change it for the better. Your husband is a lawyer, He definitely can help, instead of “Its not my problem anymore, Let someone else handle it”

I accept just a select few companies from snapdocs. If they are on vendor pay comes 1st. At least they pay out twice month. You learn with time who to work with and if you get on their favorites list, you’ll get notified of everything, even if it’s not in your area.

Sunshine Signings has screwed me over 3 times. I will never accept an assignment from them again. How do you block a company?

I think you can block a company by clicking on one of their order requests and then look for the a link that states you don’t want to work with that company.

When you see the option to change the pay. Keep scrolling down and you will see the block tab and comment tab.

I would accept another signing with them and not do it/leave them high and dry…stick it to them since they have screwed you 3 times

 As tempting as it sounds just going to block them and hope If anyone else has issues blocks them too. Eventually they will go out of business.

In SD is your response rate under signing notifications our ratings with snap docs?

I think the rating is hidden under signing notifications and there is a percentage listed as our rating

You are absolutely correct. My husband is a Bankruptcy Attorney. And I am a 25 year veteran Banker. He would also agree with you.
took one by accident… After i printed it — I had to call the signing company to decline. I could be sued… I’d be putting myself on the line. If you read the script they give you, you are representing yourself as one of their agents… Documents are very suspect.

Look at NotaryAssist online platform. There’s a monthly or annual fee but it’s been worth it for me. It tracks signings, sends or prints invoices, prints reports for taxes. Pretty easy to use

No one has to accept the bid fee - you counter and don’t accept unless they meet your rate.

I’m a stickler for misinformation and I don’t like when anyone posts it. It’s “fake news” and has no good purpose to be here. Although I do lots less now with Snapdocs than I used to, I do still continue to take orders thru them at times and I also use Snapdocs to track my other orders. So #1, Snapdocs does NOT and will NOT solicit your companies and turn them into Snapdocs companies who will short you on your fees. This is the most nonsense statement I’ve read lately. Also - although companies will bid low to start - I have had no trouble in bidding Snapdocs orders up higher if I’m the only one getting the bid orders. If I want the order, I’ll accept the bid. If I get outbid, more power to whoever was willing to accept a lower fee -I honestly do not care. With that being said - one of my highest paid signings was a Snapdocs order - it DID require that I drive about 1.5 hours one way but I made $500 on that appt.

I also have a comment about Debt Resolution packages. If you know anything about credit card debt then you know anyone with balances going toward the $20K, $30K, $50k & even $100K range are never going to get out of that hole. Debt Resolution is an alternative to BK and some people want to at least try it before filing BK. The two companies I have done them for only charge a flat fee of $975 plus there’s a monthly service charge of like $10 on the savings acct they establish. Is Debt Resolution a good idea? Not for me, I don’t need it - but for someone who does, maybe it’s just fine. As the notary I am not allowed to have an opinion. I am NOT employed by the company and the documents firmly tell the client that. The docs state I am acting as their notary representative which is no different than acting as the notary rep for a title company or a notary rep for a lender. The signing companies constantly tell us we are representing them and therefore must be professional and dress a certain way. Why suddenly is everyone thinking this is so different? If you don’t understand DR it’s because you probably don’t need it but that doesn’t mean someone else doesn’t. I don’t know about all DR companies and if some are charging their clients outrageous fees then by all means you have a right to decline. You always have a right to decline any order. It isn’t right to lump all DR companies into one stereotype group to slam them all. It’s for sure misleading for anyone new who may be reading this post.

You need NOT INTRODUCE your direct title companies contacts into SNAPDOCS for their CRM ENGINE to eventually target to market their services. Then you will be wondering eventually,

:pensive: :pensive:WHY THEY STOPPED CALLING ME DIRECTLY ?? Huh !!

Every one is scanning your personal data to find opportunities to sell something or sell something about you to someone else. That’s the age we live in.

I 100% percent agree with you on everything!!!

not a fan of low balling, i always ask for a higher but the issue is another notary always accepts the low fee… doesn’t help us at all!

we all need to be paid fairly for our worth and our services.

Also the whole debit settlements are scams, i agree with you on that.
No one should take those jobs!!!

Thank you for sharing this!!!
