This assignment was for a door knock. I completed on March 13, 2026 for an greed fee of $ 30.00. As of today, my accountant notified me this payment has not been received. Really?? $ 30.00.
That’s absolutely crazy. If you aren’t worried about being paid, guess you can take an assignment from them. I know it’s not much but with gasoline prices this helps
I won’t do Door Knocks. And thirty bucks there’s no way

I got sucked in. It was a rush situation I was told. Learn my lesson the tough way.
Upon completing my college education, I initially worked for Associate Finance. In my role as a management trainee, a significant part of my responsibilities entailed conducting inside and outside collections. I recall a particularly unsettling incident that occurred during one of these collection tasks. A borrower who was in a collections status made a direct threat against me, stating he would harm me for simply visiting his residence and speaking with his wife, whose name was also associated with the loan. Following this alarming experience, I made the decision to resign from that position. The risk of being threatened while simply performing my job duties was simply unacceptable. Consequently, I will not take on any assignments that could potentially expose me to similar dangers, which includes, but is not limited to, door knocking, delivering debt notifications, or engaging in skip tracing activities.
I had never done one before & this location was less than a mile away. I thought why not try & see what it’s about. This was for the Round-Up claim suit. Absolutely will not do again. The gentleman was kind, but had no idea how his name was involved.
I did ONE that was a collection effort and it was misrepresented as a photograph the collateral job. The loan officer got on the phone and started berating the woman - on MY speaker phone and she said I’m not discussing this in front of this complete stranger. Gave the guy a cell number to call and i got the hell out of there. Then the guy calls me back and says she gave him a bogus number. And I thought someone borrows money and makes zero payments for six months and you expect her to be honest about a phone number?
The only reason I got her to the door was her daughter was in the back yard and went and got her for me. She ignored the doorbell.
I won’t ever do one again. Can you go back and see if she’ll give you a real number? Why no, no I can’t.
Loan Officers have no idea the risk we task for their commission check. Do this job for a week with the cussing, threats, nasty name calling or being called “just a notary”. Why do I take the classes each years for 25 years!!

I took a chance and was assigned one of the Round Up settlement claims, it was for someone deceased. I had I’m guessing a contact who was next of kin, I was given the option of doing the door knock or attempt to contact via the provided phone number. I called the provided phone number and surprising the contact answered and I explained the reason for my call. The lady said that she wasn’t interested and hung up the phone. I relayed this to the service and 2 weeks later I finally got a response thanking me for the update. This was my first and last, very uncomfortable just going and knocking on someone’s door these days.
Was it through snapdocs/vendorpay? I have done 5 jobs for them and have always been paid.
The other day, I went to a very nice lady’s house. Seriously, she was as nice as could be. I had called her, and, as a matter of course, I always advise the color of my car and the briefcase I carry so they know it is me at their home when I confirm the appointment. I get there, and, first, there is a “Beware of Dog” sign on the front door. Ring brand door bell, after 2 attempts, and 4 calls, she came to the door. No issues, simple signatures. All finished, pleasant as could be. She reaches into her jacket pocket, and pulls out her pistol. Seriously, I was very uncomfortable, and could not wait to get off the property. She could tell by my reaction I was concerned…ok, maybe even afraid. Then she told me at her age, she needed to protect herself. Ok, but please just let me out the door and let me take my car with me! A few months back, we had several instances in the state where people were shot for simply knocking on someone’s door. So, no, I won’t do that. In December, a stray dog came into my yard. Well meaning folks on Petco’s Lost Loves site kept telling me to go knock on doors because (yes, he is a Great Pyrenees) he is territorial, and probably just got loose. My response: only if you do it for me first. I live in a suburban area. We have mixed property types, but farms are much further out from city center. I drove the area to see if someone had put up flyers, but absolutely not…no, not ever…would I approach someone’s door even for a lost pet. I definitely understand people being uncomfortable with that idea, and truly appreciate confirming appointments with the signers. The ones I like most…where we are on neutral ground.
Oh I got paid. But I won’t do those types of jobs anymore. People are crazy.
It was uncomfortable for me as a single woman standing at a stranger’s door. Not a job for me.
I’m not trying to be rude or condescending but why would you leave your house for $30 ?
The location was literally across the street & 2 houses down. I did the next morning when I was out for my morning walk. Otherwise, I would not have given it a second thought. Felt like I was being pay to walk the day.
