No, that is not alright because they are expecting you to be complete within a certain time frame. A lot of companies call at a certain time to check up on you to get completion status. Let them know of the time being adjusted so they can work with you or get another notary out in time.

Emergencies do happen when this can occur but client/hiring party should ALWAYS be kept in the loop about changes in their assignments. I agree with admin2 - it’s NOT okay to just do it.
