You did the right thing. Maybe the Title companies should start paying the notaries from the closing proceeds and not pay the companies to have them pay us. Realtors and everyone else gets paid as soon as they close and disperse the costs. Why are we any different. Title can pay us directly and it will solve the problem. There is getting to be too many notary companies who are not paying. We can’t afford to keep paying for ink cartridges and paper and our gas and time. Title knows everyone has to be paid from their closings.
