I’m looking for some advice as to how to go about collecting on a past due signing fee. I’ve already phoned the signing company and left a message and I plan on putting it in writing when I don’t receive a call back. Any suggestions for next steps?

You might try asking the signing company, in an innocent helpful tone, if you you should contact the title company directly to see what the reason for the non payment might be?
signing companies dont want the title company to know about their shady business practices. I make a copy of the alta statement and title company contact info when I work for a new signing company or one I am not as confident about in case I need to contact title myself.
