# DS-3053 Marketing to Travel Agents

Probably a silly question.

Has anyone tried marketing their notary services with travel agents whose Clients may need a DS-3053 notarized?
Or is that a form rarely used/needed for most of the work that a travel agent does?

@cvotruba Over the course of **more than a decade** of providing Professional services, the **only presenter** of this form has been the **Parent(s)**, _never_ received a call and/or request from a Travel Agent/Travel Agency.
**FYI:** _I’d say that it can’t hurt to present this to them as an opportunity for them to support their clients in an additional manner . . . ._

When I was living by military base in Kitsap County WA this form would pop up now and then for children. I never saw a large market for this form but who knows how that will be in the future.

Travel agents, Is that still an occupation? Just kidding.
Do not attach a loose certificate when you get a call to notarize this (or almost any) government document! It will be rejected, and the client will blame you for the delay. California notaries are “notorious” for this. Other states’ notaries complete the notary section, stamp it, and it’s good to go. However, adequately trained Left coasters should recognize a non-compliant jurat and tend to attach a compliant one (see the first sentence). A jurat stamp, stamped right on top of the existing wording, is the best way to notarize it.
