Experience with Freedom Notary Services TX

Hello All,
I am sharing this message among notaries to hopefully prevent others from experiencing the same harassment and issues I have experienced. I was hired via a dashboard by Freedom Notary Services. The title company requested me directly, because the signer reached out to them asking for me by name, which should let you know I provide quality services. They had already reached out to their go to signing service but they did give the service my information. The pay was low. I reached out to negotiate and couldn’t get a hold of anyone. I left a message and got a response on the dashboard. By the time I saw the message it was the day of and I called back to let Freedom Notary Services know that I received their message refusing to negotiate, BUT not to worry, I was already on my way to the signer, and I would complete the signing regardless to ensure their relationship with title and the signer was in tact. The representative started yelling at me on the phone and I was very confused thinking it had to be that the phone cut out or something and she did not fully hear my communication. I let her know that I wouldn’t engage with her in this manner and repeated that on my end, there is no issue, I’ll be arriving shortly with the signer and all is well. There were no issues at all with the signer or with title, signing was successful and title got their documents perfectly. Within a few hours of the completion, I got a harassing email threatening to “black-ball” me and that signing services have authority to damage business for notaries and its not the same in reverse.

So, I am reaching out to you all to warn you of this signing service’s practices and again, I hope to prevent any other Notaries from having this horrible experience. I honestly think she just didn’t hear my communication bc I can’t imagine what would make a professional service rep yell at a Notary on the phone especially given the situation.

Okay…am I understanding this correctly? Freedom hired you on the dashboard but you dealt with title to negotiate the fee and get docs and now Freedom is mad?

No, I signed up with a dashboard , the signing services contacted me via that dashboard and hired me. I reached out to the signing service who hired me and asked if there is room for an adjustment. I wouldn’t go "around " the hiring party. I make every effort to keep good rapport with every business entity I work with.

Oh…phew…so you took it at the fee you didn’t like…I’m surprised they sent you the docs if Freedom was that angry with you.

Yes, I accepted, the signer called me and informed me that they reached out to their title company. The signer honestly thought they were bringing me new business and introducing me the title company they work with . So when the order came in , I accepted because I knew it came by the efforts of that signer. I am surprised that the company was angry at all. I never threatened not to fulfill the signing, never contacted title, nothing at all. It was an odd and unpleasant experience

FYI similar experience between Freedom Notary and Title and signer in Bonney Lake WA. I chose not to get in the middle of their lack of professionalism and felt like signer was being coerced to sign. Signer also backed out of signing. They definitely need to get their act together.
