Any all that’s paying a profitable amount. I have been getting Coast2Coast and Snapdocs that pay between 30-75 which is not profitable at all.

Considering you’re limited to general notary work in Georgia, I’m not sure what those assignments entail. Perhaps $30-$75 is a fair offer (again, depending on what the assignment entails).

Georgia is an attorney-only state for real estate transactions. If you’re not an attorney, in Georgia, you’re limited to general notary work (GNW), as Linda posted.

I would like to add a bit more clarity here.. Attorney state does not mean only attorneys can do the loan signings in Georgia. It means an attorney must be physically present at the signing. A Georgia notary can notarize at loan signings as long as that notary is under the direct supervision or in the physical presence of a Georgia-licensed attorney who is overseeing the entire closing. Signing platforms take care of that attorney presence in Georgia.

@atlanta.conyersnotary - Yes and thank you for that clarification. Question: “… as long as that notary is under the direct supervision or in the physical presence of a Georgia-licensed attorney who is overseeing the entire closing.” If the signing is taking place in another state for a Georgia property and a Georgia-licensed attorney is on the phone during the procedure, does that satisfy the “notary under the direct supervision” clause?
The reason I ask is, as a California notary, I’ve been involved in signings for Georgia properties where the attorney was on the phone (in case of any questions). I conducted the signing. The attorney made his/her presence known at the beginning and remained silent throughout the entire procedure. There were no questions by the signers. Each time, someone other than I procured the services of the attorney. Each time, I was hired by title/escrow company.

I don’t see how Georgia law applies to the execution of documents in a different state. The notary has to follow the statutes of the state of venue. The hiring party should make sure the closing complies with instructions regardless but the notary follows his state laws when not instructed.

I live in Georgia and do signings with lawyer calls all the time. You just Zoom call or Facetime the lawyer and they just sit in on the call while you do your signing. They do not talk or anything. Very easy. 🙂
