Homeowners Benefit Signing

Does anyone have any experience with Homeowners’ Benefit Signings? These come across as pretty well disguised in the notifications, but the actual documents appear quite sketchy.

Is it this? (And others please note that MV Realty is mentioned in this article.

Yes this is the company and many BBB complaints. Seems quasi legal at best for an uninformed homeowner who does realize their home can be encumbered for 40 years

Anything named “Homeowner Benefit” will turn out to be just the opposite. Kinda like the old gag, Jumbo Shrimp or Military Intelligence.

Still amazes me on how business who are involved in sketchy practices sign up for a BBB account…

They usually use snapdocs. They wait to the last minute to send paperwork so the notary has very little time to review the documents. The 40 year contract and waiver of rights to sue should be enough to tell. I do not do these at all.
