Good Afternoon Family - I am new to the platform, but I have to speak out regarding Cloud Signings, LLC. They got me - I have reached out numerous times to no avail. Reached out to Mortgage Connect, and they said they don’t have a relationship with them. How do I get paid? HELP. Thank you!
Doubt my usual ‘call Title’ will work with Cloud, a long time known non-payer. So I’d just nag them daily and hope they pay to get rid of me. It goes without saying, but don’t work for them ever again.
An earlier thread says they are bankrupt. Which means getting paid - not sure how that will work. I am not sure why anyone ever posted here they are connected to Mortgage Connect I have never seen that. There used to be a list of bad players. Cloud has always been the worst.
If you only did one, count yourself lucky someone said earlier they were out for 8 signings.
I recently had this same issue with Cloud Signings. I emailed them everyday getting responses like” This is being looked into”. What I finally decided to do was email the signing order platform itself and copy Cloud Signing explaining how they’re using the platform to get over on notaries. It put fire under them fast! The personnel who responded cc’d a few other members having them to assist the notary (myself) with the matter. Low and behold, 3 checks were sent then 1 large lump sum! Do the same! Email Gduggal@cloudsignings.com, support@signingorder.com You are sure to get a response!
Thank you so much, I’m getting started on thus NOW! You are my angel ![]()
TO ALL MY FELLOW NSAs:
This is a prime example of WHY we all should research EVERY hiring company BEFORE working with them.
Some of these bad players have been in business for a long time because NSAs keep working with them … thus keeping those low pay/slow pay/no pay companies in business. Some NSAs believe that some business is better than no business. Some NSAs believe they’re special and if they do a good job they’ll get paid and keep getting business from these companies. Others have gone before you and posted about their bad experiences. Some NSAs believe whatever these bad companies tell them – anything to get the job done and get those funds in their coffers … and not pay the NSAs who did the work.
Some of these bad companies will string you along. They may pay you for the first (very) few signings then BAM! all of sudden crickets. No more nice best-buddy calls; no more pay for work already performed. They’ve found another (possibly newbie) NSA willing to work for below-minimum-wage fees. Rinse and repeat. Their MO goes on and on until their clients, the title companies, quit sending them work due to all the complaints title received from notaries looking for their fees. They lose their paying clients, they go out of business. Usually, they go out of business under that namestyle and start up again under another name, possibly in a different location. There’s always a batch of notaries who are “special” and will keep them in business.
You’re not special. You’re being scammed. Wake up and learn from the experience of others.
Okay, my rant for the morning.
My advice to anyone owed money - get yourself on record of having money owed to you; if they file bankruptcy, you need to be listed as a creditor. Unfortunately, once all is said and done you’re probably only going to get pennies on the dollar, if anything at all. In the meantime, be very careful. These “out of business” companies many times tend toward reincarnation to start it all over again.
For your use - company info from PA SOS, including their agent for service of process (btw, if you’ve sued them in small claims and obtained a judgment, you’d go to the front of the line).

Thank you - I just joined the Cafe and it has really helped ![]()
Perfect!!! Thank you very much. It’s terrible… I will now research all new companies….
Vetting companies before accepting means the offer is gone. If you accept and then research and find out it’s a bad player, you can give the order back. But unfortunately, time is money on the offer game. Take time to do the research and the point is moot.
@johnsonps306 Well, if you don’t vet the company first you definitely run the risk of being paid late or not at all; but don’t you think giving the order back is a black mark for you too?
Agreed, have a blessed day
In five years and about 2,000 orders I have gone unpaid exactly one time. Posting non stop about how prevalent it is - is misleading. Paid really late - don’t work for them again. There are a few I don’t take orders from because I won’t do net 90.
And yes, there are title companies that put you on a do not use list if you drop the order because you didn’t get that extra 25 dollars for printing. Which is completely different from slow / no pay services. I never give back orders. Because it tends to average out on page counts. I’m doing a 12 page document signing this morning. Getting paid over my published rate. It’ll average out.
People who have fits over printing what they want to call bloat should give those orders back because problem solved they won’t get them anymore.
If you accept a blast offer then vet the company and find they’re a low pay/slow pay/no pay and decide you don’t want to risk your time and resources, it’s perfectly okay to turn that offer back to them. Do the vetting (your research) BEFORE printing BEFORE doing the signing. Don’t expend your resources needlessly.
I have done that and always find a reason I can’t do the signing that is never related to their reputation. But I haven’t accepted an order from a bad player in forever.
Not if you give it back promptly & tell them why. Besides, who cares about black marks from a co. you won’t work with anyway. The way it is…if you vet before accept/counter, you’ll always be too late. And they–not us–are responsible for that!
“Usually, they go out of business under that namestyle and start up again under another name, possibly in a different location.”
That different location is often just another mailbox at a different address. It’s so funny when I look up an address of a signing service on Google Maps and it turns out to be a mailbox store.
We usually dont have time to vet a signing company.
BUT. IMO. EVERY PLATFORM SHOULD DO SO.
AND THEFT OF SERVICE LAWSUITS SHOULD BE FRONT AND CENTER AND INCLUDE THE SIGNING PLATFORMS AS DEFENDENTS..
LETTERS TO STATE AG OFFICES WITH DOCUMENTATION IS ANOTHER AVENUE.
If these company want to take advantage and then claim ignorance..we should take the gloves off and fight for some rights. GETTING PAID IS FIRST
Agree that the platforms should have some responsibility toward non-payment to notaries hired thru their platform. Whether platforms agree or not, non-payment will affect their credibility, too.
Agreed. Sometimes by the time I look up an unknown town name, it’s gone. If I opened the deadbeat list for every name I don’t recognize, I’d never work.
