# How many copies of docs to bring to signing/mistakes

I understand that I bring the original docs and one copy for the borrower to the signing. Is that right? But, what if the borrower makes a mistake on signature, date, etc.? Do I need an extra copy for instances like that?

No. You just swap the 'error for the ‘b’s copy’. In the event that they screw that up, too, you can just ‘cross out error with ONE line, have B initial and re-do correctly’. Try to keep them as ‘clean’ as possible…key word: possible.

Always have a borrower set printed exactly as the lender set, and as Ann pointed out above, if the signer makes a mistake, just swap out the signature page from their set and keep going–MAKING SURE THE BORROWER UNDERSTANDS NOT TO MAKE ANOTHER MISTAKE.

One has to watch signers like a hawk to ensure they sign in the right place.
