Notary Outsourcing

How hard is it to start outsourcing notary assignments? I am a Missouri Notary, but have ben getting some direct requests for Illinois notaries. I would love to start building a notary network.

When I had the number one slot on 123 Notary, I would get half a dozen calls a day, of which I chose the ones that I could service and referred the callers back to 123 to choose another notary. When Jeremy sold that slot to an out of state NOTARY service out of Washington state, that referral service that I was doing dried up because the person who took my place had a stable of local (untested) notaries that she would sell the appointments to. Referrals are a great thing, but when you start selling them, they’re not referrals anymore.

@douglas Be cautious! :nerd_face:

Read the agreements you have with your current clients BEFORE you choose to “outsource” any Signing Orders [SOs] to someone else . . .

Most of the reputable companies have a clause that identifies the person whom they have assigned the SO, must be the SAME individual who works with their client & notarizes the documents.

Hey send em my way :money_mouth_face::joy:

Imagine how this would work:
A title co hires a notary signing service $$$$$ who hires a notary signing service $$$$ who hires a notary signing service $$$ who hires a notary signing service $$… who finally hires a notary signing agent $ who actually performs the notarizations for the signers?

An exaggeration, but still. The last notary in this scenario gets the shortest end of the stick. How is this not a kickback? Why on earth would any title company permit this in the first place. I don’t think they would. Does not seem ethical or legal.
