Shipping Labels

How many notaries provide the shipping labels for the closing documents?

Never have. Shipping labels have been included in every package that I have executed.

Yesterday was my first time with that request, which I refuse to even discuss with them.

Have never been asked to do that and if I was I would decline. I’ve even been sent labels for corrections if I forget a stamp or something.

That is a no. I am not paying to ship docs for Title, even if they say they will include it in your fee.

Once upon a time….Title would provide their Acct. # and you had to fill out the label you scrounged from the drop boxes because if YOU ordered labels thru your Fed/Ups Acct. and Title didn’t pay the bill, Fed/Ups would come after you to pay. I have no idea why a company would want you to do that now… companies get HUGE discounts for volume (that we can only dream about).

No. If they want their documents shipped, they should provided the shipping information.

These companies are asking too much.

In 6 years I have never been asked to pay for a shipping label. I have no idea what companies are requesting that because I have never been asked to do that. It’s probably super rare and a sign of who not to work for because they have no cash flow.
