@signingagents seems to be the name of the signing service. I did a job for them in early August and still haven’t gotten paid. Owner is Kevin Hoogeveen. I sent an email asking when I could expect payment and the answer I got was that their father (Kevin? They don’t say.) is ill and that they’re only responding to questions about current signings. I’m wondering how others are handling this.

> Hey all. I have checked the archives, but because of this signing company’s name, it’s hard to discern what’s the signing agency (@signingagent) or what’s the profession (signing agents). Anyway… I have done a number of closings for this company and while they usually paid late, they did pay. In August, I completed a closing, but I have yet to be paid for it, and this is after a dozen emails and calls. After a recent email asking for payment, the owner (Kevin Hoogeveen) sent a blast email to…

When the rates start to drop these signing services won’t have anyone left who trust them enough to work for them. It’s almost 60 days past the date of signing and I have not received payment from Kevin Hoogeveen of @SigningAgents rage

@Notary_veg✅ **Great!** Hopefully there is some helpful collection information within those threads to support your efforts.

Regarding collection of the overdue payment, many Professional Signing Agent [PSAs] reach out directly to the title company when this situation arises.

Speak with them about the non-payment by this well-known non-paying Signing Service [SS]. This is your best expended effort. They may/or may not pay you - especially since your contract was with the SS, BUT they should be made cognizant of the non-payment status regardless.

✅
_ **In addition, consider asking the title company if they plan to still use this SS that WON’T pay PSAs . . .** _

_ **Also, here is an additional helpful thread that contains a Step-By-Step Collection Guide:** _

> [@Demand Letter for non-payment? Have you ever?](http://forum.notarycafe.com/t/demand-letter-for-non-payment-have-you-ever/35511/5):
>
> I had that happen to me. Here are the steps I was told to take and it worked. You need to contact the title company who used the signing service that contracted with you. If they refuse to help, let them know you holding them responsible. If they refuse to get the service to pay or to pay you, send 3 emails with a copy of the invoices attached marked PAST DUE, spaced about a week or two apart requesting payment with the warning that unless payment is made, you will be taking further action…

Thank you. Yes, I will contact the title company. I’m so tired of getting into this with loan signing work. Just disgusted with the whole thing. Thanks for the information. I did send a demand letter to another company once before and it did work right away. Why is it that you have to threaten them to get paid though? I haven’t found a single signing service that treats me with any respect.

@Notary_veg_ **Just another one of the myriad pitfalls** _ within this business sector that are _brushed under the proverbial rug_ in those “ **You can make 6 figures** ” YouTube/TickTok used-car salesman pitches . . .
