🌟 California Notaries: It's Time for Fair Compensation!

Not sure it’s an “ad”… but it does push membership in his organization. If you feel it is inappropriate, flag it and have admin take a look.

I was fine with his post until that last part.

Since the Definition of a Notarial Act varies from State to State, I felt that it was an appropriate way to express it.
In Actuality, “My State (MT)” only allows “Up To $10 per Notarial Act”.

Yes, I am aware of my state’s notary rates as indicated in my message. What I didn’t make clear was that I was responding to the post above mine about her experience with their raised notary rates (which wasn’t at all my experience). Thank goodness!

I’m sorry then…I misunderstood you as you said what I quoted. I thought you were in CA. In any event, CA ois per signature, not notarial act.

Exactly, Matt. A previous comment referred to signing agency fees as “wages,” which decidedly they are NOT. We are NOT employees. They are fees which WE ARE ACCEPTING, therefore they proliferate. Yes, the fees offered for loan signings were higher 20 years ago, before signing services, apps, certifications, and misleading online videos. As self-employed business owners, we have the option of NEGOTIATING any fee offered, until a mutually acceptable number is reached or until one party graciously declines. Anyway, THANK YOU for all you do, Matt. It is much appreciated.
