Incorrect. As a NOTARY, your job is to ensure the person’s identity and cognizance of what they are signing. As a loan signing agent it is your job to summarize what the document is that they are signing (but not to provide any ‘explanation’/advice. Any questions from signer, you are to direct them to the document and show where they can see that answer. If that is not sufficient and they have questions beyond what it says on the document, it is your responsibility to direct them to the party responsible for that document – i.e., the lender or the title company).
