How are these New LSAs making any profits?

Things such as “low rates” are occurring for most LSAs all over this industry. I just received a refinance order requiring 300 pages to be printed, paying $70. There are companies still willing to pay $100 plus, but that doesn’t seem to be the norm.

Some title companies are already using a signing Service company and do not want to do it directly, even directly some title companies want to keep part of your fees, like they don’t already charge theirs.

Got a refi request for Monday at 70 to a location I list base fee for as 90. The lender I knew would have a gigantic package over 150 pages so I asked for and got 110. Some would say that’s not enough. Well for who? I don’t do anything anymore for less than $100 unless it’s within city limits. And I am very busy right now. So for whoever is accepting 70 75 and 80 in this area - that will change when they sit down after the first of the year and do taxes and realize they operated in the red all year.

I’ve attempted direct with area title companies that I have never returned an error to. They are just not going direct. They have notaries in the office and if they are too busy, they use a platform. No one in their office wants to fool with scheduling notaries. Who by the way are referred to as prima donna notaries. So there you go.
