Religious minority group. You know I’ve always had mixed feelings about loan modifications. Each one is accompanied by a sad story, and usually is just a temporary fix.
That’s fascinating. I guess things happen that can cause people to need help to make ends meet. But you know what’s great about that? Help is out there! People who are in a hard place get to have options! One more thing, we are there to notarize the borrower(s) documents.
Bad credit, no equity, loss of the main source of income are just a few causes; however can you believe that some people stop paying their mortgage just to qualify for a modification.
Yes, I can believe it. It’s not to surprising, due to the financial counsel being given to some people. Keep in mind, most people are just a few paychecks away from being homeless. The system has programed people to live with being in debt. Oh I could keep on talking on this topic, but I won’t.
I’ve also noticed lenders are lending people up to the limit of their ability to pay. I see more refinances requiring PMI and that’s just a rip off for consumers. Here - pay this insurance policy that will protect me when you default. Why consumers don’t RUN from those lenders I don’t understand.
And people do refinance and get rid of a pile of debt - and three years later I’m signing with them again and they’re clearing the same pile of debt. If you pay off your brand new car - drive that thing until the wheels fall off, don’t go buy another new car.
You can’t protect some consumers from themselves. That’s what I’ve learned.
@ewing_joe Whoa!
