Hi all I am having a hard time figuring out how to break up an upload of a 200-page packet into 20mb file sizes the most efficient way. Right now, I’m just taking 15-20 pages at a time which is taking me forever when it’s a 200-page packet. I’m thinking if I could upload the whole packet then be able to split it into 20mb files that would be great, but I cannot figure out how to do that. If someone can please offer some advice it would be so greatly appreciated
You might check/adjust your scanned document settings:
Let us know how it works for you!
Great, thank you for your response and yes I will definitely try that.
I have been right where you are. Scanning docs late at night, running into size issues, at my wits end trying to figure out how to scan/upload successfully so I can get to bed and start again tomorrow
(Also, remember to make sure the PDF you are scanning/saving has fewer than 20 characters in the file name. File name length matters for PDFs. One with too many characters can cause an upload fail too and it may not be an obvious error message.)
@varelawe24 Did you have success with your scan upload?
Generally, the 200 Dots Per Inch [DPI] setting is the minimum that produces clear scan results.
If you divide your document package into 50-page segments at that DPI setting you’ll avoid encountering any upload maximum file size difficulties.
The format I utilize for filename has never produced any upload difficulties (see examples below):
“Surname Date - File 1 of 4”
“Surname Date - File 2 of 4”
“Surname Date - File 3 of 4”
“Surname Date - File 4 of 4”
.
Please return to share with us how it progressed for you, okay? Thanks!

Try the following, it’s free:
Yep, you have given her great advice…
I scan into 4 parts then merge into two parts Save as reduced then upload part 1 and part 2.
When scanning files back to the hiring source, I always label them (BorrowerName)_Scanback, so that’s always under 20 characters. Thanks for the 20-character tip though…I never knew about that restriction.
@steves11 In all my years of providing Professional Signing Agent [PSA] services, (like you) Never encountered that restriction either (see excerpt above).
Many of my PDF filenames are longer than 20 characters, so it’s probably a localized webportal technical difficulty . . .

Are these the ones that Mortgage Connect is offering for $50-$75?
Ok all so I had my 3 signings day and I followed the advice of changing my settings to black and white, changed the dpi and made the file name short…AND IT WORKED PERFECTLY!!! Thank you all who gave these suggestions. It really made for a smoother day and no stress.
I negotiate with MC. I dont always get what Im asking but sometimes I do.
You must be very technically savvy…I could not figure out how to do the merge thing, I tried with 7-zip and could just not figure it out.
Thank you so much for this link. Im saving it. Hopefully it will be easy for me to use as I could not figure out how to do it with 7-zip.
Your an angel, thank you so much!!!
Thank you so much for always helping!! You are indeed very knowledgeable and it is much appreciated!!
I pay for an Adobe subscription. Used it extensively at my last job. It’s twenty bucks a month but I use it a lot.
@varelawe24 You’re Welcome!
Thank you for your kind words & kudos. Also, appreciate you returning to provide an update!
Happy it all worked out so smoothly.
