Advertising for general notary work

What is the most cost effective way to advertise for general notary work? Google ads are very expensive. So is a website. Do you think most people use a Google search when they need a notary?

Yes they do…I’ve never paid for a google ad but have had people tell me they found me on google. Don’t forget…your listing here helps your internet visibility too. So does social media.

Since I am very rural, GNW is limited to my own county unless they are willi gnto pay a healthy travel fee…anyone from outside my county, I tell them to search for a notary in their zip code…and direct them either here or NotRot.

A well optimized Google Business Profile is a fabulous free marketing tool.

Update it regularly and consistently ask for reviews.

This is source of business that keeps on giving in the form of repeat business.

Several of my best repeat clients found me through a Google search.

Recently, I did a client base analysis and found over 125 clients were repeat clients who found me on Google.

Their repeat appointments alone, represented $16,500 in business.

I’ve been in business about three years in a very saturated Philadelphia market.

I believe that my 600+ Five Star reviews on Google have helped me rank above notaries who’ve been in business way longer than I have.

Treat clients with professionalism and they’ll keep coming back to you.

Thank you for that advice. I think I am also on Google but have not optimized my profile. I do get random phone calls from time to time through people who found me on Google or on Notary Cafe, Notary Rotary or Signing Agent.com. I don’t think this spontaneous work has earned me a fraction of your earnings so I am obviously overlooking a great way to get business.

Thanks for your comments. I will keep working on my Google profile. I really have some steep competition where I am located. They must be spending a lot of money to get up high on the Google search. I did use a search op company for a few months which helped last year. Budget restraints on that though.

Most of my jobs come from the various signing services I am active on, and from them I have had direct contacts set up with the Title Companies that like my work. I never advertised anywhere other than the platforms that do not charge to list me.
