Has anyone had any dealings or issues with Premier Title and Escrow (Providence Rhode Island) paying their fees owed within the agreed upon time frame or not keeping their word on things and agreements?
I did a signing for them and in writing and by voice they promised to pay me within 30 days of the Signing taking place. This is my policy and it was made clear to the person who called me-- and in my invoice to them and in the emails exchanged and they agreed to that and further its in my profiles for people looking up my information before they call me.And yes I know some companies have policies that they will send a check within 30 days after funding etc but thats why I have my policy and explain it and write it and ask them to agree to it etc… Funding delays etc can occur and theres no reason Notaries should not be paid as timely as appraisers, real estate agents, inspectors, sellers etc- who basically are paid at the closing table or over nighted their money,. I dont know why Notaries accept things the way they are–? these people cannot pay their other bills when they get around to it-- and pay others etc-- if they dont have the money to pay us our fees quickly or within a better time frame then Id say they probably have financial trouble-- or are just using our money to pay other bills etc. and Notaries should not be treated that way,
As the date approached as mentioned in my agreement I phoned them to let them know the date was approaching and the person answering the phone asked me for the File number and information- then went and looked up the file and
told me " I will make sure your payment goes out today"… some 6 days later the check was not to me and its not that far away where an envelope with a check would take any longer then that so after giving it a few days more-- I emailed the company to give them a second notice that it now was past due per our agreement. This person who said she was the manager (I will not mention her name here yet )until at least one or two more days has gone by just in case but she told me the check had been mailed two days prior to my phone call which was now a week ago… As of today no check still here and once again at least 6 days has gone by for something supposedly mailed and it should not have taken that many days for an envelope to arrive as previously stated… Its possible it will still appear however
Im just curious if anyone else has had issues with this company lately- saw some from a cpl years ago but nothing recent so far but I have not finished checking all the notary sites as yet…
Main thing besides getting payment is that we had an agreement as to when I would receive the check and I have been told once that the check was being mailed that day- some time ago and according to the conversation with the manager that did not happen cuz she said they had just mailed it 2 days ago in our email exchange days ago which was a while after the first person told me they were mailing it that day… So what do I believe?
I will post an update if I receive the check-- if not after one more mail delivery day I will begin a regimen I have developed for collecting late payments-- which is multi- faceted and which the companies do not like but i don’t like being
told one thing by one employee and something different by another and companies that do not live up to their
agreements.
Im curious if anyone else has any positive or negative experiences recently. thanks
