For those of you who have auto-assign set up with Servicelink, how do you handle it.
I had a panic attack earlier today when I saw an order auto-assigned, thank God they were able to reassigned it because I totally missed it:( I didn’t notice until today for last week’s closing! Yikes!!
Yeah I don’t touch that, simply because they don’t know my schedule and it’s impossible for me to share my schedule as it is ever changing!
I live and breathe by my electronic calendar so I have never had that issue when I sync my calendar with theirs.
Interesting. Not many of my clients have this feature, and those who do don’t give me enough business for me to share anything, especially for me to justify an “auto-assign” option. You still don’t know the date/time until you get the chance to look at it. Too scary for me as “I” want to be in control of my commitments. Sounds like a really good tool for those who have a pretty open schedule and are flexible.
You are only auto assigned if there is an opening in your schedule for the time of the assignment. It is truly a delicate balancing act. When I get an assignment from another company I auto block it in my outlook calendar which I sync with the platform…last month was extremely busy between my auto assignments and others… it worked well for me with no issues
Over the last month I’ve only been auto assigned twice and the rest… they called to see if I was available. I actually prefer to be called
I rather have them call me if I’m available great, if I’m not, sorry,
Not me… I prefer the auto… one less phone call I have to make or take while driving.
Have you found a way to link your google calendar to Exos? I have only been able to link my yahoo but my notary appointments all link to my gmail. I mostly have to go into exos (when I remember too) and block out the times and dates to ensure I’m not double booked. As you know with gnw those calls and appointments are same day and usually within the next hour or so. Also local title companies in my area have mostly been same or next day appointments.
@donaldsonnp is an expert on syncing devices:)
In my area you use auto assign or you don’t get orders from them. They don’t penalize you if you cancel the order, but want an explanation of why you cancelled. It was nice when I was doing home equity no print jobs but not so nice with bigger packages.
I do all my scheduling through Notary Gadget and Outlook with my IPhone. I don’t know how to do it with Gmail or Yahoo. I’m not that smart😝
I have been doing notary gadget for years for my own purposes, but wasn’t aware others outside of them can see my calendar for an auto assign. Is this a thing?
Let me clarify…. When I get the assignment I auto import it which captures the information that I can save and import it to my outlook. This takes about 1 min or less to do. Then I sync it to the title companies system.
Now some info is not importable so that I just quick block the time and update later
Your so funny and yes you are that smart!
Ok, you’re fired!
You can’t fire me …I quit!!
Ok fine, I’ll quit!!!
Easy peasy. Just set it up properly and it will only auto assign in the actual area you want and goes of your google calendar. (you must have a calendar set up!!)
Click on PROFILE at the top, then on your name.
Click on COVERAGE. Checkmark the areas you want. Be sure to save

As long as your using a calendar (I have Notary Gadget put all my signings into a google calendar) then you’ll only get assigned when you have set up you can take signings.
Be as specific as possible about areas and be sure your times are set (example, set 1 hour per signing, even though it should only be taking you like 20 minutes for a full refi) That way you have travel time built in.
It really is easy peasy once you get it set up. And no surprises.
Only if you set up your calendar program for someone to see. Notary Gadget doesn’t make it public
