Bank Signing

Yesterday I completed my 1st signing inside of a bank. It was quite a different experience. I’m thinking I just got lucky. The signing was scheduled for the bank location but neither myself nor the signers scheduled the signing. When I met up with the signers outside they told me the Title Company told them to use the bank location. I was not told that but ok🤷🏾‍♀️
Anywho, we went in, I asked if they had an office we could use and I was given an office no questions asked! Wow! No fee and No questions?! I’m in Oklahoma so I’m unsure if that is why I was not charged for the office space. I just wanted to share this experience with others that maybe nervous when the signing has to be completed at a bank. Happy Signing! :relaxed:

Yep, Chase Bank do that too. It’s their bank client, they don’t charge office fee. If it’s not for their own client you won’t get in:)

Well…it depends… sometimes signers pick their bank as location, but when you get there, their bank is miffed because they are getting the loan from ‘not this bank’. I’ve had it go both ways…some will give you an office; others will send you to the lobby.

I’ve done it many times at a bank, it’s only annoying if you have a loan officer there too looking over your shoulder.

No way, I love having loan officer at closing, my chance to show my process and give he/she confidence to make me their preferred signing agent for all their signings. Great opportunity to trade business cards.

I hate it, I feel like I’m being micro managed and that’s not ok.

Love bank closings now that they are back open during the start of the virus it was a different story Bank of America made us do the closing in the parking lot even though the borrowers had an appointment I didn’t mind the borrower was very upset. And I also like having the loan officer there they just sit there and they get copies if you need them most will do any faxing needed. Makes my life easier. Great contacts

I’m on the east coast and the Title company refers clients to the bank all the time. I love the experience you get to use a private office and everyone is nice. You will have to call ahead most times to let them know you are a Notary scheduled to complete a signing at their branch. I found this out the 1st and second time they were not aware I was coming in, but was very accommodating.

It is also a great opportunity to ask for their mortgage loan officer’s name and get the business cards so you can call later!
