This question has been asked before, but I am hoping to get something a little more specific. My business is in Newport News, VA. I focus only on general notary work, which is not bringing in gobs of money, but I will also be doing mobile fingerprinting. The fingerprinting could potentially bring in more. I would like to know if it is worth the expense to register my business name and get a license? I conduct my business as a sole proprietorship, so it’s just me.
