I agree with you. I have to take the NNA certification course every year in order to get certain jobs. It’s always good to be on top of changes and to be reminded of the top standards. I took an outside course a while back that really helped excel my performance, but the job offers are so low right, that expertise doesn’t change anything. I would recommend a trusted one when business picks up.
I would also suggest you take care to make sure the videos you’re watching are done by (a) seasoned, knowledgeable, proven signing agents, and (b) careful about state-specific items/pointers.
Agreed, been watching him for quite some time. Very good resource.
Hello: I find a lot of signing services are requiring training from NNA, Notary2Pro to receive signing. NNA to me really do not cover what is needed to be a loan signing agent. The test have not changed in 4 years. which contain knowing the rules in notarizing a document, such as ID, the understanding of notarial act., where to sign and stamp etc.
did you ever found the code discount? I did private message me and Ill send it.
Yeah, it’s pretty jacked up out here inm the notary field. It’s a waste. But you will see for yourself. Good luck on your journey.
I took the course a few years ago also. I liked Carol Ray a lot but her course was severely outdated. There were errors all over it which really frustrated me. Even the list of recommending signing services was outdated. Many of them had already gone out of business. For those reasons, I’d never recommend it.
How long ago? I did min in 2012 and re-did it last week currently working on the test
I took it in 2021.I hope it’s up to date now.
There is an “elite” course for previous graduates to refresh and re-do the final exam. I did the final exam and these were my results. aimed for a 90%, and I answered 63 out of 70 questions correctly score of “68 out of 80.” This suggests the test might be scored on a different scale or there may be a misunderstanding about the total points.
If the test was out of 70 points, my score would be 90%. If it’s scaled up to 80 points, I would expect a higher score.
If the test were worth 80 points and my correct answers were directly scaled, my score would be 72 out of 80, not 68. It appears there might be a discrepancy in how the score is being converted from the original 70-point test to the 80-point scale. I chatted, called, emailed and left a voicemail message to notary2pro and finally got an answer on my email on Monday all they did was ask me which test, I replied and now there’re not getting back to me. I do believe there is a glitch on their scoring. Feeling disappointed
