Hello everyone, off topic question. Any recommendations on dash cams?? Anything that wont cost an arm & leg. Mainly looking for one that has good quality at night & good enough to capture license plates. I purchased 3 from amazon & had to return them all. Thanks
I’ve never used a dash cam. Wirecutter, the review site that is part of the New York Times, as of January 2023, considered the Vantrue-N4 to be the best dash cam, and it cost $260. Their best dash cam under $100 was the Vantrue N1 Pro.
I tried the Vantrue n1 pro, however license plates are blurry on the footage. I’ll keep looking thanks.
Hey there! I had a similar issue finding a good dash cam. I ended up going with the Nextbase 622GW model, and it’s been pretty reliable. It does a decent job at night, but capturing license plates can still be a bit tricky in low light. Good luck with your search! 
I purchased the Garmin mini dash cam 2. I like it, you can play video on your iPhone. It also has voice controls. So if something happens I say “Garmin save video” and it will save a video clip & if I need to I will voice out the license plate number so I can have a record of it.
