Deed of Trust - Notary Public for County of venue or commission?

This may be a real “newbie” question to ask but I need some expertise on a specific notarization. This is for a deed of trust and has two spots for the County; one at the top for the venue and another under my signature. I know the venue is always on the first part of the certificate. Do I put in the venue county or the county I am commissioned in the spot under my notary signature? My state allows notaries to notarize in any County within the state. See below for reference (even thought you probably don’t need a reference like this newbie does:)) Thank you!

STATE of__Arizona_________

COUNTY of__(County of Notarization)_____

Before me, the undersigned, a Notary Public in and for said County and State, on this day personally appeared Mr Smith and Mrs Smith, husband and wife, known to me to the person whose name subscribed to the foregoing instrument, and acknowledged to me that he executed the same for the purposes and consideration therein expressed.

Given under my hand and seal this day ____day of __________, 20

Notary Signature____________________

Notary Public in and for _(County of Venue or County of my Commision???) ___County,

My commission expires:___________________

I get this a lot. In my state, we are able to notarize all over the state now, but before, we could only notarize in the county where you were recorded or commissioned in. This is an old format so that the venue matches the county for the notary. However, in our new world, this format is now obsolete. So what I do when I get these types of certificates, I write in that section Notary Public in and for State of Ohio and put a line through ‘county’ with my initials.

Not sure which state you are in. Here in Virginia, you are to put in the county where you are physically notarizing the document. You might want to check with the notary laws in your state.

Are you asking about the in and for part towards the end of your notary certificate?

I write in that area notary public in and for Washington state.

Yes. Another user gave me the same answer and I used that advice. It must be correct since I did not get a notice that I needed to resign that doc. Thank you!
