I also have an iPhone. I haven’t worked with Mortgage Connect in several years – since they stopped meeting my fees, the same fees they gladly met during the pandemic.
Anyway, I digress.
I wasn’t even getting their offers until I recently inquired. Then, VOILA! all of a sudden I’m receiving their offers (with the ridiculously low rates). Their app wasn’t opening for me – took forever and still didn’t open. I inquired. They said it had something to do with my being with T-Mobile for phone service and internet service. Then, I tried something.
Take your iPhone off internet and the app opens that offer immediately!!
They’re still not accepting my counter offers but OH WELL!! At least I can see how absurdly low they’ve dropped their fees. I still counter now and then …
I get them for $100+ all the time. Some of the lenders they sign for have loan packages as large as 220 pages. I ask for a bump on anything over 170 pages.
Those same offers start at $55. I get what I get. Because of costs I hold my line. I don’t give up on anyone who offers low fees. Especially when they pay weekly. Overall I like MC.
remind me again. since I haven’t signed one for them in more than 6 months… ( i get multiple offers daily - (lowball)), They are the ones w extra large packages and 100% scanbacks, and Wait for approval to Ship?? (approval to shop drives me Nutz)
There are some title companies who never ask for scans. It’s unfortunate there are errors going on that require a mile of instructions and scans with wait for approval. Any order that comes with these terms I just tell them what that means in my region as far as shipping date. I’m rural, FedEx has cut priority services. That’s just the way it is. If I can carry a package to an appointment near a drop - I’ll make the effort. Otherwise, they can have a scan or same day. They can’t have both every time. It’s been working out though.
