Do you rent cars every week or month?

I read on facebook that a notary rents a car ever week to use for signings and that its a tax write-off. Does anyone else do this?

Not a chance, I drive my own vehicle and use the mileage deduction. Too much hassle renting cars, plus the rental car inventory suffered during the pandemic. Unless you live next door to Enterprise, I wouldn’t even consider it.

I never heard of it but if the notary does rent out the vehicle for signings only then yes its a total write off. But you can do that with you own car as well. I mean it won’t be 100% if you use your car for both business and personal but a % can be tax deductible.
