Forgot to enter DL expiry of signer in journal

Hi ,

I did signing in December’20 , I entered all journal entries of signer, and I forgot to enter DL expiry of signer. What is the best remedy now ? to get it fixed ?

Please advise me thank you in advance.

I don’t know how you would go about getting it fixed. But without knowing what state you’re in, we don’t know if you’re even required to record that information. Just because the journal you bought might have a space for the info doesn’t necessarily mean you have to fill it in.

The longer you wait, the less chance you’ll have of correcting your mistake. (ID’s expire, people move, change phone numbers etc.) I’d contact the signer immediately and own your mistake. Signers are also human and will likely cooperate. If they refuse, I’d note it in the journal comment area. Ultimately, this is what E&O insurance is for. Mistakes can and do happen.
