I periodically receive emails from Hire Notary out of California. They claim that closing fees for notaries are $200 per closing. I believe they ask for a signup fee. In the last decade or so of doing closings, I have made it a point not to pay to get on any lists of companies. Does anyone have experience doing closings for this company? Are they real, or maybe just trying to collect a signup fee.

The Notary Cafe database has 43 separate threads (in addition to yours) on this business entity dating all the way back to November of 2019 stating to AVOID, SCAM, WARNING, ALERT, BEWARE, etc.
