Newbie question: I have a few platforms that I am signed up with and I want to take on a few jobs but I have some questions: Edocs - Do I print them off and get them singed as a physical doc or will it need to be E-signed?
Generally, āedocsā means you print (to size) 2 copies on a laser printer, get 1 copy signed, notarized and returned, leave the 2nd unsigned, not notarized copy with the signers.
How will I return them to the lender, Iāll assume they will come with instructions for that
They will provide you with a return shipping label - usually FedEx, sometimes UPS. You need to provide the envelope/packaging for the docs.
Did you take a certification class? And if so which one? Iād really like to know which training course is NOT telling their students this information.
Welcome. As a ānewbieā myself, I understand how the term can cause confusion.
Hello & welcome! Donāt hesitate to ask if you are not sure. This is s Webster these forums are supposed to be for, here yo support each other. I have been taking Loan Signings since April. So I consider myself a newbie. Working with different platforms & companies can be confusing with how print, scan & return documents in the beginning. Let me know if you need additional information on Edoc or the process.
Addingā¦Go online to both UPS & FedEx and set up your own Account. (It may require a credit cardā¦been so long I donāt remember). You can then order supplies and they are FREE/no shipping costs. Totally FREE and delivered to your door within a few days.
PAY ATTENTION NOW: Donāt go nuts! You only NEED the minimum amount of 50 of the large plastic envelopes, Label Pouches, both letter & legal size cardboard. You do NOT need Labels, but, if you ever do (rare) PICK THEM UP AT A DROP BOX because āshipping with ordered labels can be billed to you!' Consider yourself warned!
Note also that FedEx is very good about everything. However, UPS will frequently deactivate your account ādue to non-useā (all your shipping is billed to recipient). Having gone thru 3 or 4 deactivations in my time, I finally discovered that if you spread your orders out over the year (label pouches this mo., plastic next mo., cardboard 3rd mo., etc.) they are less likely to deactivate you. Itās also helpful to actually phone/talk to UPS person and tell them youāre a āthird party shipperā (thoā that isnāt foolproof, it helps.)
NNA courseā¦I took itā¦still run into lots of things that werenāt explainedā¦and I watched it twice.
Thatās a shame; Iām so sorry to hear that. You may be well served to look into another course that will help you through all of it as many people have posted theyāve had to do - but since your original post was in July, Iām hoping youāve found something to help supplement your initial training and fill in the gaps. Hope all is going well for you.
Remember with NNA - you get the support line. Donāt hesitate to call whenever you have a question. After nine years and thousands of successful signings, Iām still grateful for the polite, helpful folks on that support line.
@littlebumbumt Absolutely correct.
My personal experience:
When I initially started performing this work, I successfully completed MULTIPLE training/certification programs including Notary2Pro & NNA and many others. I have extensive experience in skill sets that require certification and recurrent evaluation tests; i.e., Iāve maintained my Project Management Professional [PMP] certification for more than 20 years. So, I understand what it usually entails and the elements that should be included within a comprehensive training program.
Regarding the NNA training specifically, itās lacking across multiple topics & categories. Many NNA āgraduatesā choose to take additional training courses elsewhere, because they sense theyāre insufficiently prepared. Their primer has errors throughout. Their hotline is less than reliable for accurate responses.
In my experience with undergoing the multiple training programs for certified notary signing agent [CNSA] certification, hands-down without question, Carol Rayās Notary2Pro training programs are optimum in this industry. Iāve successfully completed ALL of the multiple training/certification programs that Carol offers through her company Notary2Pro. Her programs are thorough & detailed. These also prepare the business owner to operate a business. In addition, she offers Mentoring services. I found those to be excellent & INVALUABLE when I was initially starting out in this business sector. The prices are surprisingly reasonable.
Iāve professionally compared the training/certification programs available at Notary2Pro with the others Iāve successfully completed. The ONLY training/certification program I recommend is Notary2Pro.
A list of companies that hire Notary2Pro graduates (with minimal or no experience) is provided to successful course graduates. => This list is pure GOLD! Study up, refresh your notes, & let Carol know when your initial few signings are scheduled. She is a wonderful mentor & can be on standby in case you encounter difficulties or have questions during your first few signings. Sheās the Best! Her support will help you Build your Confidence in providing this service.
In addition, Notary2Pro works diligently to keep this list up-to-date regarding vetting and viability. As we all know, some reliable clients can encounter financial difficulties and that, in turn, can negatively impact CNSAs directly.
Of course, your best bet would be to visit their website at https://www.notary2pro.com/ , research, and make the choices appropriate for your situation. The training programs by Carol Ray are comprehensive & thorough.
P.S. I receive no compensation or remuneration of any type or kind as a result of my first-hand experiential review above.
