Hey y’all! I’m getting more serious about my business and started implementing ways to be booked online instead of just by word of mouth. I came across Square App and it seems cool, but I have trouble adding services and prices. Since our fees can vary so much (especially mobile), how do you price your services in Square App? Or do you just use it to take payments only and not for online booking? Any advice is appreciated.
I don’t know if this is any help because I don’t have/use Square. Yelp has a ‘get a quote’ feature that allows a person to e-mail you for a quote. Unfortunately, it doesn’t ask enough questions–let alone the ‘right’ ones–to have any value beyond ‘contact’.
So what I have to do is ‘reply’ (which still goes thru Yelp) and TELL them to use their e-mail and reply directly to ‘my e-m address’ and answer ‘these questions’. The only actual info I can and do add is ‘fee per notarization’ as the travel fee will vary by location.
So far, every vague inquiry has resulted in them following thru as I requested. If memory serves, every painfully inadequate Yelp inquiry has resulted in getting the GNW job.
P.S. I only take cash…and they know exactly how much due to the back & forth e-mails.
P.P.S. General inquiries are ALWAYS too vague and often you really have to dig the info out of them. I recently had an inquiry for 1 stamp, 3 miles from home turn into a $125 no print/scan Seller pkg. (doesn’t happen often).
This is helpful.
Thank you!
I use Square App with Calendly combined. First let me say I’ve developed more of a general notary practice than loan signing. I was tired of the lowball offers and more importantly the disregard for the notary’s time and professionalism. Third party involvement can be messy especially when the third party does no quality control and sends documents with no clear line of consult when things are inaccurate. But I digress. Try getting a calendar app or pay Square for invoicing and scheduling which I believe are additional paid services they offer. However, the two apps are working splendid for me. - Yvette. I hope this helps.
So you used Calendly to have the customer schedule the appointment, and then you use Square App to have them pay for it? Like do you create services in Square App to go off of?
