I asked the signer to buy me lunch because

like @vizionzmobilenotary said… We wish you well…

It sounds like you are getting comfortable and what some would say is too familiar. I live in AZ where temperatures reach 112 at 8:00 am in the morning. I often get offered coffee, tea, or water at my signings and I have always declined the offer. I am there to do a job and i politely make up some excuse as to why… ( I just ate lunch and could not take another thing more. I just finished my coffee in the car before I came in… but thank you so much for the offer I appreciate it.) That’s just me on how I chose to do business. You run your business the way you see fit. Your reputation will lead the way.

All other posters have since explained what I meant by ‘too close to the edge’.

It’s not hospitality if you ASK for it!!.
I’m a southern girl, born and raised. Hospitality is the veneer behind a lot of cutthroat misdeeds done in the name of Christianity. Trust somebody who knows and whose majority of relatives are still below the Mason-Dixon line. Too often the words Christian and hospitality are used to cover up bad behavior. You were wrong. Own it!

No way, you said that to the signers?

IMO: be professional in all you do in this business and you’ll be amazed what opportunities pouring your way.

GreenHunter, another noble notary we all remember recently got relieved of duty on this forum for attitudinal issues. Be careful where you step, my friend.

I am absolutely speechless … And that’s quite a feat when one sends me into a state of being at a loss for words.

Admins, please don’t delete this thread…maybe lock it before he commits further occupational suicide but don’t delete … I’d like companies to see what type of notary handled their loan

Good God Almighty
