In Washington, married people can’t do real estate transactions without their spouses knowledge. You can have your spouse not be involved but they have to sign a waiver that says they are cool with that.
Other states - not so much. So when a real estate transaction is in another state with no community property law, your spouse can do whatever they want as far as buy sell or refinance real estate transactions.
Apparently it doesn’t matter if they are in a community property state when they are signing the transaction.
I asked and was told no not a problem.
