Is Docs2Go Still in Business? How? Why?

They shouldn’t be! if they are. I did a BIG job for them. Yep. $40.00. Until That was end of May 2024. They told me they pay in 45 days. I thought that was a little long for $40. However it is not as long as never. I have called. Numerous times. Each time they told me it will be done by the end of business that day. Again $40. When I did the job they asked for a W9 and an ACH to direct deposit payment. They seem to get their jollies by non payment to those who have worked for them.

I do not know them. I have never seen them in my area in 5 years and 5600 Signings. But if someone says Net 45 it doesnt matter if its a nickel or $1000 dollars they are not paying quicker because of amount.

If it was done with a title company, you could tell them that you don’t want to call the title company to request payment but if you dont get paid you will, and that may get you paid. Its worked for me but not always. Sometimes Ive called the Title company to be told they are sorry that I didn’t get paid and they do not work with that company any more because they weren’t paying notaries.

If they are out of business you are not going to get paid. There are alot of slow paying companies out there and sometimes a little nudge will get you paid and sometimes you need to push harder and be persistent.

In 5602 signings I have only not been paid 3 times.

Thanks for your response. No, I don’t really believe they are out of business. However I do believe they are the epitome of scammers. They do all the right things to make you believe they are an honest company. And they give Signing companies and bad name. Where you would not think twice about taking a job from someone new, now you absolutely refuse. It’s forty dollars. Normally and in this case it was far enough away that I would not have taken the assignment. But I wasn’t busy so what the heck. Mistake If I am going to do volunteer work, I will decide where and when. I’ve called. More than once. Each person acts surprised that I haven’t received it. Now I cannot even get anyone on the phone. I still want my money but I may not get it. I will do everything I can to get the story and their bad name out there. It was one document. I’ve been doing this for over 20 years but this company is high on the list of garbage. You can’t treat people like this and expect nothing bad will ever happen to you.

I did my first assignment for them when they asked me to deliver documents to a certain doctor, who no longer worked at the medical facility. I did the research there and found out where the doctor is located and let them know. Docs2Go said that because I “wasn’t successful” in delivering to that doctor, I would only get a trip fee of $25. That was in June and I still haven’t reeived payment. Never again with that company.

Why not file a report with Small Claims Court? I may have to do the same. In fact, I’d look forward to doing that for a $25 job.

I see his website, docs2go.net, is not functional.
I see he’s located in Baltimore, MD (LinkedIn: Keith Steward Real Estate: 240-461-6764), in Florida, and in Georgia, yet he has NO Google Business Profile. How does he get business if he has no online presence?

Update: I did call them and they sent me an e-check today, but notaries should not have to go after signing companies for their pay. I still wouldn’t work for them again since they reduced my fee for no fault of my own.

Well I called again. Got Ian again. He will get back to me by end of day. So he says. Who did you speak with? Was the e-check to you or direct deposit? I am glad you got paid. At least something. I am waiting for $40. as I said. We shall see. Thanks for updating me on your drama.

I got an email from Karen at admin@docs2go.net today. It was an e-check.
After I received it I did tell her that I wouldn’t accept work from them again.

Ian kept his word. Got my $40.

Monday morning at 8am sent a threatening Third and Final email requesting payments from January and March received an echeck same day at 9:15am. It’s a shame you have to corner these companies in order to get paid. :woman_facepalming:t5:

It is pathetic that we have to resort to these measures to get paid for our work. It’s despicable. They have no honor or ethics.

Hi!

I have had the exact same experience with them.

I did two jobs on the same day for a total of $85. It was the same runaround of “send us your w9 and other info” I did that three times.

Then they actually called me to do another job, and I had the opportunity to say that it was company policy not to accept signings from companies who do not pay their bills. Did they want to set up payment while we were on the phone?"

That was a no. (someone else’s job, apparently)

But it felt good in the moment. My company, my policy.
