Hi there has anyone gone through a name change while being a notary? How long does it take companies to change it? How do we go about changing bank account names and getting checks under our old name? Help 
Check your notary handbook on the procedure for change of name on your commission - that’s your first step;
How long it takes a company to change the name I guess would be up to the efficiency of their record keeping and database maintenance. But as long as you can prove you’re a duly commissioned notary under your current proper name you should have no problem. Don’t forget to notify your E&O carrier.
As to the banking - check with your bank?
