Mortgage Connect Insulting Fees

Just quit doing signings for them after receiving their insulting offers and I feel sad too for the notaries who sccept such low fees.

You can also counteroffer, there was an order put out today for $55 for a refinance. I countered for $90 & was assigned within minutes. Also, my daughter counters all the time for $100 and 9/10 it is accepted.

Oh, thank you very much for the advice. I’ll try my luck!!!

I received a call from them last week for a signing they not only required scanbacks but also a Spanish $90 speaker when I countered she went into a ranting rave and and said no we do not pay more than $90. Ok find another notary that will do it was my response. I absolutely will not do a signing that requires scan backs much less a Spanish speaker for that amount. The scan backs alone and having to leave your office to drop takes at minimum another. 30 minutes of your time. In the meantime the SS charging $300 plus for the notary fee. I think not.

They offer $40, $45 and $50 for HELOCS and Refis for Texas, some notaries do accept though🙄

They send weekly emails about how to avoid common errors, etc, because they know what kind of notaries they’re hiring, the cheaper and not the better

The notaries taking those will never get more money once you accept those low offers it’s game over. When you do the math you’re in the red. Make that nonsense make sense. SS get what they pay for, for their greed.

Always counter to a fair fee. $50.per hour
Includes printing .prepping …sign here stickers etc
Drive time
Size of package re fi is 130 plus out here
Takes 50.75 minutes depending
Then scans $25…50
Then drop
@ $50 per hour

Unfortunately, that doesn’t seem to work in Dallas area, where the market is oversaturated with notaries, including the cheap ones of course.
I tried to counteroffer a few times and never and none has been assigned to me.

If that is the case, I would find other companies that need mobile notaries such as nursing homes, court houses, attorneys, real estate agents, ect. $50 per closing always have you in the red/ low profit.

@AssistPros Excellent Advice:heavy_heart_exclamation: :tada:

I also STRONGLY RECOMMEND this guidance on a Regular Basis . . .

Often, members aren’t certain HOW to move forward with diversification of their professional services . . .

Over the years I’ve been providing these professional services, I’ve purchased many texts (more than a baker’s dozen or so). There is ONE text that have purchased & gained an IMMENSE amount of wisdom, support, & guidance from reading => “Marketing Your Non-Loan Notary Services” by Laura Vestanen. The price is QUITE reasonable at a mere $11. This text will be instrumental in guiding you to effectively & efficiently expanding your business while simultaneously utilizing your well-honed notarial skills!

I truly found it to be very helpful , insightful, and truly assisted me in brainstorming my way to greater success . It’s much easier to surf the peaks and valleys of business cycles if there are multiple income streams (diversify your services across varied business sectors ). :sparkles:

FYI: I receive no compensation or remuneration of any type or kind as a result of my first-hand experiential review above nor from any sales of the text.

I always counter either they pay or not.
Some offer out here have been ridiculously low.
Sad part is somebody accepts them .
I did a signing for a legit company last week…the loan officer told me the previous notary asked to be picked up at the train station.
Seriously???
Trains to this area run frequently during rush hour …but then otherwise it could be a 3. 4 hour roundtrip.
The signer was so happy to hear i knew their town location as well as I had a car.
How on earth can somebody do this work without a car and expect to make $.
