My Mobile Closer is bad about paying and I’ve discovered that they strategically ignore their notaries so we forget about them and their debt for our services.
I did a signing for them back in October 2024 and they never paid me the $125 as contracted. I’ve called and emailed a dozen + times. DJ is not helpful.
After calling the escrow officer and getting her involved, I sent a demand letter giving MMC 7 days to pay me. The owner, Kami Lee responded and apologized saying that she is covering the accounting in her spare time because they don’t have accounting staff. She also said that payment is going out today. Today is the 7th day and I still have not received a check. I’m going to file a Small Claims Petition and I’ll update this post as well.
How long did it take others to get their check once they told you it was coming?

This has saved many of us an inordinate amount of time ‘chasing’ payments for Services professionally provided to potential non-payers . . .

Even if you win in Small Claims court, all you get is a piece of paper, it’s still up to you to collect the money (good luck with that). Just keep calling the debtor and reminding her of the broken promise.
I used my LegalShield membership everytime i have problem getting my $$. My attorneys either email or mail a letter to them and I have a check within 7 days. www.yourrights.us
I just used it on Cloud Signings.
I’ve had the exact problem with them in Oct 2024, $150 as contracted. as of to date no payment. I’ll take this loss and write it off if possible. I have literally been turned off from accepting any more SS business. They all seem to have amnesia or have you vieing(sp.) for the work!. I’m taking a brake due to unforeseen circumstances but will return to GNW. At least payment is made on demand.
