National Australia bank

I just received this email from National Australia bank saying they are doing an investigation concerning certified copies of documents. They say that they suspect it is fraudulent and they have my correct commission number. My question is…
Do I take this a real inquirey or ignore it as a fishing scam

Thanks for any input

Is it a branch in the US? If so, ignore any email addresses, web addresses, or phone numbers in the email. Look them up some other way and call the branch, then ask for whoever is named in the email.

Found a website for them - at the bottom in small print it says

" Our offices in Asia, UK and US are unable to offer personal banking services or products. If you need personal banking support, visit your nearest NAB branch or contact us."

I never found any info there showing business locations in US - based on this I think I’d just delete it - unless you can search here and other forums and find some info on them

NAB personal banking | Loans, accounts, credit cards, insurance - NAB

Thank you so much for all your input. I had a feeling it was a scammer fishing trip again thank you so much and the information was very helpful.

Please do further research first. Something in the back of my memory bank is remembering “NAB” but I’m not sure where or why - they may well be legit. But I would definitely be skeptical.

Good luck - and please let us know.

New racket born every few minutes these days. UBank was affiliated with National Australia Bank. Since UBank is out of business when NAB took over someone must have tapped into their data history. NAB is also affiliated with Bank of South Africa. What tangled webs are weaved. Probably more banks involved. Another way to scam and sad thing is people believe their lies. Don’t know what state you are in but are you allowed to “certify copy” of document?
