Nationwide Signing Services Payment

Hello! I have completed a few signings with Nationwide Signing Services but noticed I often have to follow up to receive payment. Has anyone else experienced something similar with them?

Curious … Do you invoice them upon completion of a signing? If so, do you find you still have to remind them?

I have a couple of SSs partners that require payment reminder. So, what I’ve done for those is set up my bookkeeping program to send them a reminder a week prior to due date. This has worked just fine so far.

I know, I know … we shouldn’t have to do take this additional step. It only takes one more click when I generate that particular invoice. Beats the heck out of using up my time and getting aggravated by repeatedly calling and/or emailing inquiring about status of payment.

Haven’t worked for them since May 2022. At that time, I was paid in 30 days.

No, I do not send them an invoice. They would typically just send me the payment electronically. This is a good idea to remind them. Thanks!

In my opinion you should invoice everyone unless they specifically state it’s not necessary. i don’t invoice Jot. Mortgage Connect is an online method that you have to follow to the T. So is Townsgate. If I don’t have a record of payment history I invoice. That’s just my own best practice. On my income spreadsheet I note when payment is received so I don’t have to wonder who has paid me and who hasn’t.

@jyritamoore Yes, you’re on the right track to remind them.

The company confirmed that it would be great to send an invoice moving forward. I will start doing so! Thank you all for your feedback!

@jyritamoore I have worked with Nationwide Signing Servies and have never had an issuse with payment. You are not required to invoice them and if my memory serves me well there are 30 day net and pays via Deluxe Pay. If I have to my follow up goes out net 35 I leave a bit of room for delays. I use Notary Assist to keep track.

When I did signings for them years ago, I never had an issue with payment. However, recently I’ve had to email their accounts payable department to follow up. I once waited two months for a payment, and unfortunately, today I had to follow up again because I didn’t receive the payment that was promised yesterday. If I continue accepting signings from this company, I will be sure to send them an invoice. I’m also reconsidering working with them due to these ongoing issues.
