I did a signing this evening and got half way through the refinance and discovered one of the signers driver’s license was expired 3 days ago. He had no other picture ID. Is there any form of ID that would work for notarizing these docs??

A passport will work in Nebraska and we have the option of credible witness with proper ID unaffected by the transaction or two credible witnesses and in addition if its someone we know personally and is unrelated. This for me is one of my deepest fears, especially when you are just learning your way around. I am going to purchase E/O insurance, but people ignore things like this all the time and just assume its a formality.
