Need New Laser Printer!

Hello All, I am new to this forum. And, I am in the need for a new laser printer. My old one is not printing anymore. I have gone through all steps to uninstall, reinstall, clean etc… Can someone recommend a new one that works fast and also can print color. I also need it to scan, copy, fax print double sided with 2 trays of course. I have been looking at them online for a week now and reading reviews, and I am having a hard time deciding on one. Thank you!

@kristinannlucas Excellent question! By any chance did you find the immediately available information found within the Notary Cafe database on this topic?

This information is a GOLDMINE!

What state are you in? I’m in WA & have 2 printers ~ both older HPs. Should my printers ever die, will lease printer from local company Sharp Business Systems. Likes: Have printers for small business. Lease includes color laser printer, all ink, other parts, and includes maintenance. Quickly replaces printer should it go down. No time limits on lease. Savings on ink, toner, etc. is worth the rental fee. Recommended this company to other small businesses and positive reviews. When Sharp printers sales went down they opened successful leasing business.

I got away from the ‘all in 1’s’ years ago. If one function fails the entire machine can become a door stop. During the COVID Refi push I ran two Brother 5300 series printers. I have a third Brother 5200 that became my backup printer. This meant I could print both copies at the same time. I picked up an Epsom ES500-W II scanner. This now meant I could do three things at once.

Faxing has become a legacy technology that when I need to send a fax I use a cloud based service on an as needed basis.

Which ever printer you choose I’ve found Ink Technologies to carry just about every after market part needed to keep your printer running.

Approximately how many loan packages of 100+ pages can you print before you have to replace the B/W toner? How about the color toner? Does it deplete even if you don’t print in color?

I have no idea, Steves11 - I just did a quick search for OP. I’m sure she’s quite capable of researching that data.

I’m real fond of the Brother HL-6200DWT for B&W.

It comes with 2 550 sheet trays, takes 14" natively, goes up to 4 trays, prints 42ppm, duplexes and even has toners that go up to 12,000 pages (I heard they have a 20,000 page one, somewhere) for < $0.01 per page.

I think it’s about $399 at most stores.

I replaced my (working) Dell 2330DN with it, to save on toner and take advantage of extra drawers.

HWB.

I’ve gotten up to 5000 pages with the large capacity toner cartridge. I buy my toner, fuser, and drum parts from inktechnologies.com.

I second this. This printer is a real workhorse.

Yes! Excellent Brand [Brother]. All Brother printers I’ve purchased over the past decade+ are truly WORKHORSES (as noted above). I’ve owned & utilized the one you referenced above (in the past). My current life-blood support (printer) is the Brother MFC-L6800DWT. At some point, I’ll need to invest again in a new model & Brother will be my first choice.

NOTE: When I initially began my Maiden Voyage into this business sector, there were several strong recommendations for utilizing HP printers . . .

However, when I purchased new HP printers & utilized them, the results were less than stellar. Fraught with multiple printer difficulties, odd error codes, expensive supplies, etc. HP printer brand demonstrated they were unreliable.

I recently bought the Canon Imageclass MF753Cdw and so far it is great. You can add an additional tray which I have not yet. It has a 50 sheet multipurpose tray and when I tried it with a sample document that I made that had both letter and legal it chose the correct paper. I’m very new at this and so far all of my document have just been letter paper. And the scanner is very fast also.
