Never again will we accept Notary Cloud offerings

With two notaries and a combined total time doing notary work of greater than 40 years experience, we have never had a company that epitomizes a poorly run company more than Notary Cloud/Village Capital. We had our first run in with them in 2016, and we gave them a try at that time and waited over 100 days for payment. After contacting them several times, they finally paid that bill (only because they needed our service for another signing in our area). We went over 2 years and did not accept another signing from them due to the past experience. The next signing we took they promised quick payment and delivered within 30 days, so we started once again with their Very Large, multiple attachment download packages with SO MUCH duplication that it is embarrassing to present to the clients. We got paid quickly, but the packages keep up running gun shy. To paraphrase their statements: “if you make any mistake your payment will be severely reduced or payment will be totally withheld”.

Fast forward to May 2020. We did another signing for them and as of today 9/14/2020 we are now over 110 day post closing, they have been invoiced multiple times (you can not call them, they won’t answer the phones only voicemails that go unanswered) they have yet to pay for the service. Now let me also say that we have done several signings in the period since the May signing and been paid for the services on average 45 days post closing. This one in May, they refuse to acknowledge .

WE ARE DONE WITH THEM. I hope you have had better luck, but we service such a large area, we do not have any need to do these VERY LARGE, MULTIPLE DOWNLOAD, OVERLY DUPLICATED, signing packages only to be treated this poorly. I guess if you are a LasVegas signing company, like Notary Cloud/Village Capital, you think that everybody likes playing to odds of getting paid, not getting paid.

I just recently did my first signing from them ! :sob:
Fingers crossed

That’s completely unacceptable! Sorry to read about your frustrating experiences with them.

My experience with them is limited to 1 signing. I accepted it on August 19th last year and was paid on August 31st.

Thank you for the alert regarding their business practices.

Same here…so much duplication. Not worth my time.

I’ve completed many closings with them, maybe 16 or so.

Yes, their packages are large but so what— if you understand the mortgage business you’ll know that 40% of the package is the disclosure portion, which the signers could simply sign quickly— they are only obligated by the loan document portion of the package.

They pay just fine and I’ve had no problems-- they’re just a little more cumbersome than the regular loan companies

jgonnelli you are a very fortunate notary. i have several closings that are overdue. I had to use an aggressive letter to get a July payment. I have no intention of going through that for the rest. I am going right to my promised intentions. Thast what BBB and legal systems are for.

i am going to send a prayer up for you, kiddo. Dont get overinvested in them like I did and end up having payments dragged out forever while they duck and dodge timeliness. UGH!

Every time they call I tell them they MUST PRE-PAY. I have yet to have them take me up on it. Oh, well there are plenty of good paying reputable services out there.

Sorry that happened to you.
