I received a proposal for a loan modification from FindANotary, with no phone number, address or other identifying info. I responded twice asking for specifics, i.e. where do you want to meet? do you have the documents? After the second email asking for identification requirements, nothing. Another scam. Beware, fellow notaries, beware.

Same. I asked what title company they were working with and they said they were doing in their own. (Huge Red Flag). Of course it was followed by “Can I send you the documents to go over them?” My response was immediately to BLOCK them.
It’s become several requests a week now.

The operate out of a PO Box in San Francisco,that should be enough information for a Nick Shirlee type to track down those fraudsters
I have been getting these on a daily basis, then it turned into texts and phone calls. Always from a different area code and always with a heavy accent they can’t even tell you where they are located other than the state you are in and they want to send you E-mail zoom links. Its getting to be very annoying! Don’t fall for any of these scammers, some WILL call you

I usually direct them to check my website for availability, pricing estimator, and other answers for their questions, and if they ignore that and continue asking for the same information; I block them
