I have a small LLC business that has recently started becoming very busy. Before my company gets too large to back-track info, I need a recommendation for a MacBook accessible app that will help manage signing records, companies info directory input, and will let me know if an invoice is past due. Notary Assist & Notary Gadget are the 2 apps I would love either of them to download and use, however, the MacBook App Store says not available on this device. Any and all advice appreciated!!
Not a techy, but I’ve read that you can partition a Mac to allow it to run Windows.
Also be aware that Adobe & Macs do not play well together. Sorry, that’s the extent of my knowledge.
Thank you for your advice. I will continue to keep looking and see if I can find accounting software that works best for notarial services for small business. Have a great evening!
If you want to use Notary Gadget, get the app for your IPhone.
To do everything else including running reports, you’ll need to use the web version on any computer.
I love using the app on my phone.
Hope that makes sense.
@eddiejames595 For nearly two decades I’ve relied upon Notary Assist program/application. I find it to be AWESOME!
The Notary Assist software is:
- User friendly
- Easy to sort the data with column sort priorities
- Perfect for maintaining the schedule of engagements
- Simple to monitor accounts payable
- Easy to create new Clients and support team members in my database
- Creates invoices
- One-step backup process
- Data entry in overview mode or within each engagement popup screen
- Great to ease of accessing data at Tax Time
- Excellent report creation tools
- Easy to alter previously created engagement data
- Outstanding mileage monitoring reports
- Software is designed to report income correctly [including the exclusion of notarial fees from income reports]
Thank you for your response however, I have a MacBook Pro I use for my business and the App Store does not show this app available for Mac iOS.
Thank you for your suggestion. I would have absolutely love to use that app, however I mainly do at least 90% of my business from my MacBook Pro. I am in a transitional process with business growth and need access to a laptop. We are happy business has had an “up-tick” yet, I am needing guidance from those in the notary community on my question. Thank. you for your help!
Ironic because I do everything for my business bookkeeping/appointment wise, GBP on my phone with the app. A laptop would slow me down for sure.
Did a Google search for “notary app for MacBook Pro” and came up with the following 5-star rated app: ‎NotaryCentral on the App Store
I have no experience with MacBook Pro nor with NotaryCentral. Hope the above info helps you.
I suppose it boils down to how your business best operates depending on the individual. My wife and I own a company. She does all the paperwork handling end of things and I do the travel and signing appointments. We work well together like this. I’ve had over 12 years doing mortgages and she worked in real estate for 15 years. Combined experience we work well, hand-in-hand with getting our business footing off the ground fairly quickly which is why were are now moving towards transitioning from MS Excel to ?? program for bookkeeping. She just bought Quickbooks Pro and is currently working with that software to see if it accommodates our business needs. Thank you to everyone for your input!!
Yes I have. I’m currently trying out Quickbooks Pro to see if that meets my needs. Thanks for your input!
I use a MacBook Pro and an iMac and use Notary Gadget through Chrome…easy. And the app for my mobile devices.
I login to Notary Gadget from the Web (used to do it even on an apple) and input things in NG that way rather than through an app through the APP store. Then I can download PDFs, etc. Someone else noted here though that MAC and Adobe do not generally play nice together.
