I got a signing yesterday and the one paper shows 3 people to sign. Once I have called the client tells me that’s one name is her maiden name. Now I still haven’t received the full packet just shipping information and her husbands wasn’t to tell me if hell be able to meet at the same time. I am stuck on what to do, so far I have written on the comment box letting them know the problem I have ran into. Did I mess this completely up? Has this happened to anyone before
Most of the time husband and wife share same info, e.g contact phone number, but what I do is when I call the number given to me is to ask and confirm for the other person… and make sure that both will be there with proper picture id’s
If it’s confusing let the signing service know about it, by commenting on the site
Thank you lll leave a comment
Okay:
#1 - where are you located?
#2 - What is the “one paper” that shows different names? (If the Signature/Name Affidavit, that’s standard)
#3 If husband has to meet with you at a separate time, you’ll have what’s called a “split signing” and you should be paid extra for that additional “signing” (if you can accommodate) - since you’ll be going over the package a second time.
IMO you did right by questioning the name discrepancy… good luck and let us now how it turns out
Texas
It shows the owners as three people, when I called she told me it was her maiden name. We set up a time with her to sign and she’s telling me it’ll be just her. Her husband is on as an owner.
At some point if the husband is in the package of documents he must sign as well. I had done documents like that, where one spouse is in the deed and documents pertaining to it, and the other spouse is the full borrower… looks to me that both are to sign, no all but some
Thank you guys for your help, seems there was a problem lady had the home before she got married the paper work for a mod. loan. Now her husband was on the paper work, she was confused. I just mentioned to her she needed to call the loan company.
