Yes they are an insult completely.
Just keeping these license updated every year is costly itself.

Your time
Paper legal/letter
Ink
Legal documents cost more than letter because they require more ink and time consuming.
Did I mention the time spent going over documents before signing.
$20, $30 , $40, $50 is very insulting.
This is a business not a kids daycare.
They need us.

Then FedEx dropoffs
All costs notaries should come into the field knowing. Ink and paper costs have skyrocketed. And again, nothing is personal. No one is attempting to insult us.
We take a fee or we don’t. I don’t let it bother me. I am still doing over 30 a month at the fees I ask. As interest rates drop offers go up. But feel insulted? Not me. And the slow payers I dropped a couple of years ago so cash flow is much better than when I started. Lots of companies pay twice a month. So in some ways business is better. I just don’t take low ball fees. I do okay without accepting fees I don’t think are acceptable. It’s the fast paying companies that pay well. Not getting assignments from companies who pay net 65 or more? Not a problem for me.
